19 AUG 1757. William Codrich and Joanna his wife to Robert Hill, for £25 current money, 50 acres on the East side of the Currotoman River, descended to Joanna Codrich from Elizabeth the wife of Francis Walker and daughter of Jane Mason, deceased, bounded by Gabriel Thatcher, deceased. (Lancaster DB 15, p. 299).
a. Inventory. DW 16, p. 251. Ordered 15 JAN 1762, made by James Kirk, Jno. Yerby, George Yerby. Included one negro girl and one negro boy (both unnamed.) Recorded 18 NOV 1763. b. Order Book 11, p. 359. 15 JAN 1762. "The allotment of Elizabeth Hill's dower land was returned and ordered to be recorded." c. Order Book 11, p. 360. 15 JAN 1762. Will of Robert Hill presented by Hugh Ker, the executors in the will relinquished the duty, proved by oaths of George Flowers, James Kirk and George Fendla. Admnistration with will annexed granted to Ker. d. Deed & Will Book 16, p. 228. 24 FEB 1762. Hugh Ker, merchant of Lancaster County, administrator with the will annexed of Robert Hill, to James Hill. 50 acres of land Robert Hill had purchased of William Codrich and Joanna his wife on 19 AUG 1757 (see above) and "ordered to be sold by the will of Robert Hill" [that will does not mention any land nor order it to be sold.] Bounds in this deed e.
