Excerpt from Bill Herlihy's 10 Aug 01 History of Hannah Maria Johnson Herlihy, p. 14: " On December 18, 1937, her second grandson, Robert Drake Herlihy, was born. Hannah and Agnes Herlihy took care of this retarded child. Early in World War II, Agnes went to work after being a housewife for several years. When Bob reached six years old he became hard to manage. He would wander away from home, and become lost. Hannah, in her mid-sixties by then, was slowing down. So the family hired someone to look after my brother, and to keep him from wandering away."

   "Robert D. Herlihy, 59, of El Paso died Saturday (Oct. 25, 1997). Burial arrangements are private. Survivors include his brother, William F. Herlihy; his sister-in-law, Antonieta M. Herlihy; and his house parents, Robert and Nina M. Nava. He was an El Paso resident for 11 years and a longtime Las Cruces resident. Arrangements are by La Paz Funeral Home."
