Robert C. "Bob" Germaux, formerly of Varnville, departed this life February 6, 2010 in Walterboro, after an extended illness.
Born November 9, 1918 in Glassmere, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Emil Joseph Germaux and Ora Stoyer Germaux.
Mr. Germaux was a Flight Officer in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
Bob received an Accounting Degree from Robert Morris School of Business and was later employed by Westinghouse Electric as Manager of Financial Control for over 45 years.
He was an avid golfer and loved his family and all animals.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Ruth Spencer Germaux and is survived by his three children, Sue G. Russell of San Francisco, CA, Richard T. Germaux and wife Becky of Barnwell, SC and Deborah G. Saunders and husband Alex of Hampton, SC; four grandchildren: Kellie Sue Gibson and husband Chad of Varnville, Scott Saunders of Hampton, Robbie Germaux of Barnwell, SC and Brett Padgett of Summerville.
Interment was in Varnville Cemetery.
