There are two records showing different birthdates for Robert. One states Oct 1837 in 1900 Census, and the TRS Family File indicates 1840. Two nieces living with them in 1900 - Lelia Law born Dec 1891 and Frieda Law born Feb 1890.

There is a Robert mentioned in the electorate of Nevada Co in 1867-1877 that could be this Robert. He could have accompanied his mother to Nevada City.
