Robert Dugar was born ca 1752/1753. This is based on his Revolutionary War Pension Application (File S39465). On 24 May 1819 he stated he was 66.

He enlisted in 1776 in King William Co., VA and lived there most of his life. Unfortunately King William is a burned records county so early records are scarce.

Robert Dugar is listed on a 1782 tax list in King & Queen Co., VA. This is next to King William.

Robert Dugar is listed on the 1787 tax list in King William, but his taxes were paid by John Perrin, relationship unknown.

Robert Dugar is listed on the 1797 tax lists in King William. On the personal property list he has 1 white taxable (himself), 3 blacks, and 3 horses. On the land list he is taxed for 164 1/2 acres.

He was living in King William Co., VA when he applied for his Revolutionary War Pension in 1819.

He was still there for the 1820 census. He had a full household and also had 5 slaves.
