Robert ""Bob"" Cumrine of Longmont, Colorado passed away at his home on February 21, 2009. He was 71.Bob is survived by his loving family including his wife, Donna Cumrine; son, Dave Cumrine; three daughters, LaDonna (Tom) Bujnowski, Natalie (Clay) McMillan, and Sherie (Walt) Geworsky; a brother, William Cumrine; as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A sister, Barbara Miles, preceded him in death.
Bob was born August 23, 1937 in the mountain town of Gold Hill, Colorado, to the late Sophus Ames ""Lefty"" Cumrine and Sadie Maye (Cheers) Cumrine. After graduating from Boulder High School, Bob served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1955. Bob returned to Colorado where he began his career in insurance. He owned Cumrine Insurance Agency (affiliated with Farmers Insurance) until his retirement in 2001.
On Valentine's Day, 1964, Bob married Donna Kasberg in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The couple enjoyed dancing, bowling and traveling. They enjoyed their trips to Hawaii and wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Mr. Cumrine was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and woodworker. Most of all, Bob cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Ilio.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at his home in Longmont, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st.
