Robert Campbell (died ca 1810 Carter's Valley, TN) and his first wife, Leticia Crockett, died bet 1753 and 1761 at Prince Edw. Co VA). They had the following children; 1.) James Campbell born ca 1747 married Leticia Allison 2.) Elizabeth born ca 1749 married Joseph Long 3.) Catherine born ca 1751, [called Aunt Katie, never married and lived with her half brother Robert until her death.] 4.) Alexander b ca 1753 married Amy Eaton, dau. of John, of Maryland. Both died in Maury Co TN.
Robert Campbell married second Jane Allison and moved to TN.

Robert Campbell born in County Down Ireland about 1718 and landed in Philadelphia at the age of 7 years He went to Prince Edward County in Virginia, afterwards. In 1776 he moved with his sons to Carter Valley, North Carolina (This is now Tenn.) In 1738 or 40, was married to Leticia Crocket, who died in Prince Edward Co., Va. He was a farmer. He died Dec. 24, 1810 and was buried in Carter Valley near his home. He was the father of ten children: Alexander, James, Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna, Jane, these were by his wife Leticia Crocket. (I have no definite proof, but I think James listed above was the father of our George).
Robert married Jane Allison who died in 1820 and they had: Robert, Jr., Joseph, Leticia and Andrew. Jane Allison was born in Rockbridge Co., Va.
Robert Jr. was born in Rockbridge Co. Va. Jan 3, 1761. He was married in Va. In 1785.

Robert Campbell was listed as an early settler in Washington County, North Carolina, ca. 1779. He received land grants in Washington County on Little Sinking Creek and on a branch of Big Limestone Creek in 1782. He was on the Greene County, North Carolina, tax list in 1783. His estate was listed in Washington County, North Carolina, in 1786. His widow, Ann Campbell, and oldest son, James his widow, Ann Campbell, and oldest son, James Campbell, sold Campbell, sold land of Robert Campbell, dec'd., in Greene County, North Carolina, in 1788.
Robert Campbell (1718-ca. 1810) was born in County Down, Ireland. He immigrated to America with his family in 1725 and landed at Phildelphia. His father is believed to have died at sea. He and his first wife, Leticia Crockett, had six children, ca. 1742-ca. 1752. She died ca. 1757 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. He and his second wife, Jane Allison, had three children, 1759-ca. 1765. The family migrated from Rockbridge County, Virginia to Carter's Valley [Tennessee] in 1776. He died there. Descendants listed lived in Tennessee and elsewhere.
Includes a copy of a deed for Robert Campbell , Colony of Virginia, 1742; a family group sheet for Anna Campbell (b. ca. 1742), daughter of Robert and Leticia Crockett Campbell, and her husband, Thomas Taylor (d. ca. 1813); Campbell names in a list of voters for Hawkins County, Tennessee, 1790; and Campbell names in an account book in Hawkins County, 1787-1788.
