BITTNER 

   Robert A. Bittner, 64, of Meyersdale, died Aug. 5, 1997, at
 Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born March 26, 1933, in Corringansville,
 Md.  A son of the late Cyrus P. and Lela M. (Caton) Bittner.
 Survived by his wife, the former Janet R. Ruffo, and two sons:
 Richard A., Meyersdale, and Paul E., married to the former
 Floredeliza Fulgencio, Meyersdale.  Also, a granddaughter, Paula.  A
 brother of William P. Bittner, Frostburg, Md., and Mary Jane
 Merrbach, Meyersdale.  A member of SS. Philip and James Catholic
 Church, Meyersdale; 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council 9297,
 Meyersdale, and BPOE Lodge 1951.
