BARRINGER, ROBERT D

Robert D Barringer, 77, of Fostoria, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 200 2, at his daughter's residence in Swanton.

He was born April 27, 1925, in Fostoria to Charles Lee and Chloe Blanch (G rant) Barringer. He married Doris Imber on Nov. 9, 1946, and she survive s.

Also surviving are two sons, Brian G and Bruce L, both of Columbus; thr ee daughters, Mrs. James (Sandra) Coe, Swanton; Mrs. Demetros (Judith) Har tley, Fostoria; and Nancy Bateson, Delta; seven grandchildren; a step-grea t-grandchild; and a brother, Wm F of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Charles and Lester.

Mr. Barringer retired in 1977 as branch manager for City Loan and Saving s, Fostoria.

He was a U.S Army veteran of World War II, receiving a Silver Star and a P urple Heart.

He was a member of High St United Methodist Church and the Eagles, bo th in Fostoria; and OH Consumer Loan Association. He was a past memb er of Fostoria Lions Club.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Hom e, Fostoria, the Rev. Brian Haller officiating. Burial will be in Founta in Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held an hour before services Saturday at the funeral ho me.
