ROBERT AUSTIN Daily American June 7, 1996 

  Robert David Austin, 90, Meyersdale RD 3, died June 6, 1996, at Meyersdale Medical Center.  He was born June 10, 1905, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Charles and Ellen (Michael) Austin.  Survived by his widow, Edith Housel; a son, Robert H., Salisbury, Md.; four grandchildren: Roberta Austin, Robert D. Dukes and Jennifer Lynn Dennis, all of Salisbury, Md., and Virgil P. Dukes, Virginia Beach, Va.  He was a brother of William Austin of Somerset; Mary Barmoy, LaVale, Md., and Elsie Johnson of Morton, Ind.  Member of Amity United Church of Christ and Operating Engineers Local 66, Pittsburgh.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be at 11 am Saturday, with Rev. Lamar Bender officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.  The family  suggests that contributions be made to the Amity United Church of Christ.
