Rita Elizabeth Lestina Hartong,89, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, in Good Samaritan Center after a brief illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, Waterville, by the Rev. Ken Kimball. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon. Survivors include four daughters, Vivian Iverson and Barbara Nebendahl, both of Waterville, Bernadine Jones of Lansing and Marjorie Miller of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Alberta Berthoud of Moline, Ill.
