OUGHNER, Rita A beautiful soul has passed into the beyond! Rita Norma Beccaria-Loughner became an ancestor on August 10, 2017. She lived 93 productive years and died as she lived her life: on her own terms. Born in San Francisco in 1924 to Italian immigrants, she was the youngest of eight children, five boys and three girls. As a young woman in wartime San Francisco she worked in the factories, danced, smoked and dated members of the Bachelors Club. She married and gave birth to ten children. At age 40, she moved to an old farm in Santa Rosa. Her energy was inexhaustible. She dove headlong into country life, raising not only her children on her own, but countless farm animals and pets. She grew a garden, made the best pies, crocheted and quilted beautifully, finished old furniture, read voraciously. She civilized her children without violence. She did all this with courage, grace, intelligence, patience and lots of love. At age 54 she started her own business. She worked hard and laughed easily. Rita, we will miss your sass, your spirit and your humor. May you rest in peace and in bliss. We love you so much. Rita was preceded in death by children Sharon, Glen, Bruce and Michael Loughner. She is survived by children David, Karen, Gigi and Bill Loughner, Debie Beccaria and Jeannine Zenti, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services for Rita will be held on at 1 p.m. on September 9, 2017 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa, CA.
