Shortly before 1920, the Vests were living in West Liberty, Morgan Co.., Kentucky. Frpm therea they moved to Perry Co., Kentucky. He was a mining supervisor with the Consolidated Coal Company and a builder.

Heddie Vest was a stern man, but he could also be loft and he loved his children. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He was a very intelligent man who had many talents--woodworking and design two of them.
