    'Richard Turney, born say about 1475, is a somewhat shadowy figure, but he received from his father [James] in 1520 the life use of a tenement and land in Hollingdon, which at his death were to go to Richard's son John in fee simple, Richard probably died before 1524, when John (but not he) was taxed in Soulbury.'
