- , Richard (16??-1708) married 1691/2 Ellen Mott (circa 1673-1741), youngest daughter of Mr George Mott of Rappahannock County. He died intestate in Richmond County in 1708; she died testate in King George County in 1741 but her last will and Testament is recorded in now lost King George County WB#1 (1721-1752, COB#4,p.389; DB#3, p.122; WB#2, p.127; King George County COB#2 p.247; 23W(2)85. Richard Shippy (16??-1708) must not be confused with Richard SHIPPY (16??-1698), styled Senior, who died testate in Richmond County but whose will is lost WB#1 (1692-1699); if they were father and son, I have no evidence.
