The following is from a GEDCOM from Charlotte Kennedy of Richland, WA; 1996 !FOOTNOTE: Redfield Book Page 31- Richard Redfield was born in Killingworth, Conn., went early to the town of Medham, NJ where he learned the trade of axe-making, of a Mr Courgar, and married his first wife. He then removed to Addison county, Vermont, and while in the county resided successively at Bridgeport, Middlebury, Shoreham and Vergennes; thence he removed to Madrid, St Lawrenc county, NY; thence he crossed the St Lawrence into Canada; thence to Odgensburg, NY; thence to Elbridge, Onondaga county, NY; thence to Sodus, Wayne county NY; thence to New Albany, Indiana; thence to Rushville, Illinois, where death gave him his last removal March 26, 1851.
