The Marrin family ancestory in the United States is first reported in "Bristol and America": A Record of the First Settlers In the Colonies of North America 1654-1685 (pub. Glover, London,1929:Reprint.Genol. Pub. Co. Balt.1967) with the 1663 departure aboard ship of "JOHN MARRIN" from the port of Bristol bound for the Virginia Colony. The same sources report the departure of"John Ellis" under the same said circumstances. James Marrin (b3/1/1943) married Phebe Ellis Thorne (b2/28/1941) in August, 1980.
