    The will names daughters Elizabeth, Ellen (unmarried) & Alice (unmarried); wife Joan; son Thomas executor. Friends Henry Peddler & Thomas Pedder of East Purye & town clerk Paul Boughton to be supervisors of will. Witnesses: Thomas Pedder, Paul Boughton & Richard Abbott.

    Richard Lord had a brother William, whose will is recorded in Northampton Probate Registry, pp. 1560-66, folio 72. It would seem that Richard and William descended from the Lord family of Yelvertoft, County Northampton, England.'
