Richard E Heffelbower, A.I.A, age 72, of San Diego, CA, and formerly of Pe rrysburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at the South Coast Medi cal Center in Laguna, CA. Richard was born on February 22, 1932, in Toled o, to Gerald and Charlotte (Reppe) Heffelbower. Richard was an architect f or 40 years and most recently had been doing consulting work for fir ms in Toledo and San Diego. He was a Korean Air Force veteran. His members hips included The American Institute of Architects, the Mended Hearts Cl ub of Toledo, Maumee Elks, Rancho Bernardo Oaks N Golf Club and the Josl yn Center. Surviving are his loving wife, Joyce (Barber); his daughters, Lori A Tregl ia, Cathy L Maynard, Cindy L King, and Lisa D (Joe) Horstman; his brothe r, Gerald Heffelbower, and sister, Donna Shular; stepdaughter, Debbie Klin genberg and stepsons, John, Jim, and Tom Flannagan. Also survived by h is 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in dea th by his brother, Daniel, and the mother of his children, Lois. Friends may call at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime Ci ty Rd, on Thursday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a. m. conducted by Deacon Ken Cappelletty. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hi lls Memorial Park. The family suggests that for those contemplating a memo rial, to please consider the Mended Heart Club of Toledo.
