Richard Harper was listed in Ward's District in the 1820 Census in Elbert County, Georgia. He was listed as age 45 and up with his wife as age 26-44, two females and one male as age 10-15 and two males under age 10. The first Tax List of Butts County, Georgia in 1828 lists Richard Harper in Captain Mann's District. The 1830 Butts County, Georgia Census listed him as age 50-59, hus wife as age 40-49, one male as age 10-15, one female as age 5-9 and one female as under age 5. The 1840 Butts County Census lists him as age 60-69, with one female as age 50-59, one female as age 20-29 and one female as age 15-19. In the 1850 Butts County, Georgia Census shows Richard Harper was a farmer, age 76, born in Virginia with his wife Elizabeth, age 69, also born in Virginia.
