Elijah H. Harper was Justice of the Inferior Court in Elbert County in 1853. According to the 1850 Elbert County census he was a farmer. AN ORDER TRANSMITTED TO SERGEANT ELIJAH H. HARPER. May 13th day 1848. Mr. Elijah H. Harper 3rd Sergeant. You are hereby required to cause all the officers and privates composing the 3rd squad of the 315th Dist. G. M. to be and appear at Elberton on the 26th and 27th of this June armed and equiped as law directs for the purpose of drill review and inspection. John P. Fleming, John M.
