Richard E Halbeisen July 13, 1936 -- Dec. 14, 2003

Richard E Halbeisen, 67, 3051 S Buchanan Rd, died Sunday morning at Firel ands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.

He was born in Fremont to the now-deceased Jerome A and Gertrude (Darr) H albeisen. He married Patricia Hershey on Oct. 11, 1958, at St. Ann's Catho lic Church and she survives.

Richard enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, football and was an avid OH State fan. Mo st of all he loved being with his family, children, grandchildren and h is friends.

He worked for Local 50 and for Warner Mechanical as a pipefitter and w as a former business owner. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Churc h, the Moose, Eagles, NRA and Local 50 Union Plumbers and Pipefitters Asso ciation.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by sons Michael (Susa n) Halbeisen and Bill Halbeisen, both of Fremont; daughters Linda Het er (Rick Watson) and Nan (Andy) Genzman, both of Fremont, and Lisa L (T y) Lewis of Canton MI.; grandchildren Jeromie Heter, Brad (Katie) Hete r, Tiffany Halbeisen, Ryan Halbeisen, Steph Halbeisen, Sarah Halbeise n, Taylor Lewis, Kennedi Lewis, Derek Genzman and Dylan Genzman; great-gra ndchildren Alyssa, Taya, Alexia, Dylan and Addison; sisters Ruth Bischof f, Donna Jean (Jerry) Fisher and Barbara Ann (Richard) Karlovetz, all of F remont; and brother Thomas J (Donna) Halbeisen of Sandusky. He is preced ed by brothers Harold and Melvin Halbeisen and sister Anna M Foos.

Visitation: 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home. Christi an wake service: 8:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sacred Heart Catholic Churc h.

Burial: McGormley Cemetery.

Memorials: American Heart Association or American Diabetes Foundation.
