Richards will is dated 1670. I reads: In the name of God Amen: I Richard Ffinnimoor of Tingewick in the county of Bux (Bucks); being weake in body but of good and perfect memory. Praised be God for so great a mercy: And calling to remembrace the shortnes of this frail life and that all Flesh must yield unto the stroke of Death were it shall please the wise providence of God: (dominus) UNS being desirous to settle things in order. does make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: that is to say: first and principally I commend my soul to Almighty so my creator(e). Assuredly believing that I sahll receive Full pardon and free remission of all my sins. and be saved by the previous death and merits of my blessed Savior (e) and redeemer Christ Jesus. And my body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in such decent and Christian manner as my executor here after named shall be thought meet and convenient. and Touching such wordly estate as the Lord in mercy hath lent mee; My will and meaning is: the same shall be employed and bestowed as here after by this my wit(t) is expressed. And first I do revoke, renounce, frustrate and make void all wills or wills by mee formerly made, and desire and appooint this my last will and testament and bequeath unto my wife Mary Ffenimoor all my household goods for time of her natural life. all also my three beace (beasts?) and twenty sheep ; and 2 horses with all my ready money and debts whatsoever they bee: Item: I give unto my sonne Richard Ffenimoor Two of my best stocks of bees in my yard and also one shillia (shilling) in ready money; Item: I give unto my sone Henry Ffenimoor one shillia in like money: Item: I give and bequeath unto my sonne William Ffenimoor the barne in my yard which I had newley set up for to be taken away withing one year and a day next after my decease: Item: I give unto my daughter Ann Haxton one shilliam in ready money: Item: I give unto my sonne Joseph Ffenimoor all my household goods of what nature or condition soever they be: After the decease of my wife mary Ffenimoor and not before only I give and bequeath unto him the said JF my horse and 8 sheep with ll my netts, trapps with all manner of other materials belonging to that employment where with I go my livelihood making him my holle and soule extention of this my last will and testament: witnessing hand the day and year first above written. his marke witnesses: Arthur Middleton of Finoor in the county of Oxford and Robert Baxter of Tingwick in the (ye) county of Bux (Buckinghamshire; Bucks) These are further to signifie and declare unto whom it may concern that several of the goods which are in my house Does belong unto my grandchild jane ffenimoor daughter of my son Christopher FF. deceased which are these: one bedstead, one iorond (iron) chest, one irond box, one good kettle, one pane (pan) of pott hookes, one table board, one Bible; all these doe belong unto the for named Jane ff. and not to be detained from her when seh comes unto years of discrecion for to use them.
