b) Marriage record - SAC pg115 constance dau of _____ Gibun. 1365 Dover plea rolls see Steatfield's annotated copy of Hasted's Kent at the British museum Vol pg 755 - SAC pg115 - Richard de Bereham son of Henry succeeded his father and resided at Sissinghurst near Cranbrook (Kent).1377 King Edward III died and Richard II was crowned. 1381 SAC pg 115 -Richard Bereham was commissioner of the Peace. 1383 SAC pg 115 - Richard Bereham was commissioner of 'oyer and terminer'. 1385 SAC pg 115 -Richard Bereham was commissioner of Array in view of imminent invasion by the french. 1390 Hasted's Kent II pg290 - SAC pg115 - Richard Bereham was sheriff of Kent Richard II (1390-1391) and kept his shrievalty at Berhamcourt in Teston (Kent). 1400 King Richard II was murdered and Henry IV was crowned. 1403 SAC pg115 - Richard Bereham was commissioner of Arrayin 1403,1405,and 1407. 1409 SAC pg115 - Richard Bereham's name appears in a fine of the manors of Sherlonde and Thramhatche in Kent in Hilary Term 1409-1410. 1412 Lay subsidy 16 Apr 1412 (13 Henry IV) - SAC pg115 - From an entry in the compotus of William Notbeme Sheriff of Kent we learn that Richard Bereham held land and rents in the couty work 401 lbs per annum beyond reprises. 1413 King Henry IV died and Henry V was crowned. 1418 SAC pg115 - Richard Bereham was again appointed commissioner of array for the defence of the realm while the King is in foreign parts for the recovery of the inderitance and rights of the crown (dated at Westminster 28 Apr 1418).
