    Richard Chitwood, b 1797KY, was a son of Richard, d 1822MO and his wife Mary Cantley. Richard m. 23 Dec 1827 Sarah (Sally) Seely (#114178025), dau of John Nichols Seely and Katherine Brinker. He died intestate in 1862, and his son-in-law John Wasson was granted letters of administration to settle his estate 5 May 1862, with final settlement on 9 May 1866.
