Richard A Carnicom Dec. 2, 1930 - Sept. 19, 2003 ------ Richard A Carnicom, 71, of Helena died Friday morning at his home. He was born in Fremont to Clyde and Cora (Aldrich) Carnicom. On Nov. 8, 19 52, he married Betty Jane Reynolds at the Bethel United Brethren Chur ch in Elmore. Richard was a 1949 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and worked as a mill wright for Union Carbide in Fremont for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He w as a member and past president of the Helena Volunteer Fire Department f or more than 50 years. He was also a past mayor and current councilm an of Helena, where he served for 47 years. Richard enjoyed restoring anti que cars, scooters, going to flea markets, auctions and fishing. He w as a member of S.C.R.A.P and Cushman Club of America. He is survived by his children Ronald (Annette) Carnicom and Connie Carnic om, both of Helena and Jane (Rick) DeHays of Carey OH; brothers Lee of He lena and Norm of Gibsonburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchil dren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a granddaughte r. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home in Gibsonb urg Visitation: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral ho me.
