    Know all men by these presents that I Thomas C. Hopkins of Edgecombe
    County and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and disposing
    memory but fible in body and unable to attend to my business I
    therefore nominate and appoint Henry I. Toole of the County and state
    as above written my sole and lawfull trustee to take immediate
    possession of my whole estate both real personal and mixed to collect
    and disburse all my dues and debts as he the said Toole may think to my
    best interest. Now in consideration of the above mentioned services I
    give at my death to the said Toole all my personal property after
    paying Richard Bunting the sum of eight hundred dollars for his
    attention to me. I give at my death all my real estate to Elmira
    Stansil to her heirs and assigns forever. I further give together with
    my personal property my stock crop, household and kitchen furniture to
    Henry I. Toole to him his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof
    I have here unto set my hand and seal this 20 September 1846. Thos. C.
    Hopkins. Witness Kineon Downs (his mark X), Jo. Lawrence. Edgecombe
    County Court, November Term 1846. The foregoing annexed deed of
    conveyance from Doc Thos C. Hopkins to Henry I. Toole and Elmyra
    Stancill is duly exhibited in open Court for probate and its execution
    thereupon duly proved by the oath of Josiah Lawrence one of the
    subscribing witnesses thereto, upon which this court order said deed to
    be registered together with this certificate. Test Jno. Norfleet clk.
    This deed was received by me for record the Fifth day of December 1846
    and recorded the same day. Jos. J. Porter, (Regs). Abstracted 14 Oct
    08, NCA film C.037.40018, CTC.
