Richard and Elizabeth (Tiffany) sold the 66 acre share of Elizabeth's Joshua's Town land to Nathaniel Dodge in 1743 (Lyme Land Records, 3:247). The Dodge family owned the land until after 1780, when it was divided into many parcels, and some were sold outside the family (Friedlander, 455).
