2 November 1950 Berkshire Evening Eagle 51 Berkshire Youths In Third Draft Call

Fifty-one Berkshire County youths left Pittsfield this morning at 7 for induction at Springfield and processing at For Devens, was the third draft call of the Korean war. The board has no other induction calls pending, but tomorrow morning t2 Berkshire County youths and 20 transfers will go to Sprinfield for pre-induction examiniatons... The send-off committee headed by ALbert W. Cheevrs, held a Dutch treat breakfast at the ALlen Hotel after the draftees left today....Richard C. Beers, Jr. of 713 East Street....
