Rhoda was living in Putnam Co. when her husband died. by 1850 Rhoda, David and their first two children are living in Mason Co. (listed as David and Rhody Stevens.) by 1870 Rhoda was living in Mason Co. with 5 of her 7 children. by 1880 only 2 of her children and a grandson are living with her. In 1880 Census, Rhoda says that her parents were born in VA. All of the birthdates for the children of Rhoda Paul Stephenson are taken from the Civil War Pension papers filed by Rhoda Ann after David's death. Rhoda's death certificate states that she is 83 yrs, 4 months and 25 days at her death (ca. by Mary Jo Nay to be 11 Nov 1824).
