Mrs. Rhoda Hargrove
After an illness of three weeks Mrs. Rhoda Hargrove, one of the oldest women in Savannah, died shortly after midnight this morning at her home, No. 424 East State Street. She was a native of Port Elizabeth, N.J. but had lived in this city for many years. She celebrated her eighty-eighth birthday last Sunday.
Mrs. Hargrove is survived by one daughter, Miss Lillie Hargrove, three nieces, Mrs. Annie Claiborne, Miss Alice Henry and Mrs. L. Worth, a nephew, Capt. W. W. Henry and a very large family circle.
The funeral arrangements in charge of Henderson Brothers are incomplete.
- Funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Hargrove
The funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Hargrove, who died early Thursday morning at the advanced age of 88 years, will take place this afternoon at the home, No. 424 East State Street. The Rev. T. B. Stanford, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Theodore C. Henry, Arthur Henry, W. W. Henry, Lehman C. Worth, W. H. Barrett, Frank Marshall, C. B. Herb and F. C. Marshall, Jr.
