Rhea Bielby passed away at the age of 94 years, on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at her residence in Saskatoon. Rhea was born in Grandview, MB, but spent most of her life in the Kelfield-Biggar area before moving to McClure Place, Saskatoon in 1994. She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Doris Klassen, Grace Switzer, Laura Bielby; and many nieces and nephews. Rhea taught school for several years are worked in the Municipal office in Kelfield. Later, she and her husband Harold operated Bielby Agencies in Biggar. Rhea's love for music led her to serve as a church organist and pianist, and a lifetime of singing. A scholarship in her name was established in the Biggar Music Festival Associations. Her strong faith led her in to faithful service as a Sunday School teacher, Church Council and Committee member. In Biggar she was involved in the Diamond Lodge Auxiliary, New Horizons, Fort Nightly Club, IODE, WMS and UCW. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 8, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in Biggar United Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
