Ephraim Enterprise 1971-03-04 Reynold H Peterson, Ephraim native and for many years a resident here, died February 21, 1971, in Cowley, Wyoming, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Feb. 24 in Cowley LDS Ward chapel with burial in the Cowley cemetery. Word of the death and funeral was received Monday by Mr. and Mrs O. Ray Olson from their brother in law and sister, Mr and Mrs Reed [Helen] Thomas, 2446 Custer Ave, Billings, Mont, who went to Cowley for the funeral. Mr Peterson was born April 26, 1904, in Ephraim to Mr and Mrs Hans Peterson, an identical two with his brother Robert L, and "Rob and Ren" are still very familiar names to older Ephraim residents. They lived in the home where the May Black family now lives. They were associated with their father in the management of the Ephraim Sanitary Canning Company for several years and later they moved to Wyoming where they continued in the food processing business. He married Laura Rees of Wales who survives him along with children and grandchildren. Reynold had served in the Cowley Stake presidency as a counselor to Glen E Nielson who as a speaker at the funeral. The eulogy at the funeral was given by Kathleen Welch, daughter of Robert and Dureta. She said the children of the two families felt very fortunate in that they had two daddies instead of just one. The two looked so much alike that when Robert was bishop, ward members would often hand Renyold their tithing or tell him of ward matters. He would thank them and smile but would not let them know he was not their bishop. Pallbearers were six grandsons of the identical twins.
