Rex A. Stevens, 77, of 3291 East Main Street, Columbus, formerly of Carrollton, died last Thursday evening at his home after a short illness. Mr. Stevens was born June 26, 1901, in Cleveland, a son of the late Carl and Ida (Werner) Stevens. He was a former plant superintendent at the former Carrollton Manufacturing Co. before moving to Columbus in 1955.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eula Kohler, to whom he was married June 15, 1922; one son, Dr. John Stevens of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Bela (Eileen) Peterfy of Columbus; two brothers, John Stevens of Carrollton and Carl Stevens of Phoenix, Arizona and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home here with Rev. John Visser officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
