Reuben is the son of Isaac and the grandson of Joel. He left Dauphin County, Pennsylvania in 1838. The whole family, less Nancy, was in Scott Township, Mahaska County, Iowa in 1856. The children, Mary and Uriah, married in Stark County, Ohio between 1842-1844.
