This discharge was signed by McIntosh. This service was in the year 1778 or 79. He cannot recollect precisely but is certain it was one of those years. The campaign lasted upwards of six months. Was engaged from almost the beginning of the War until the capture of Cornwallis in assisting every way when called upon in guarding the magazine's, taking deserters and guarding them to block houses did catch one deserter which relieved him of a tour of duty forgets when this was. He was born about where the County of Washington stands in the year 1758 was near 20 years of age when he performed his service. Knows of no living witness by whom he can prove his service.
He hereby relinquishes every claim to a pension or annuity except the present and declares that his name is not on the pension roll of any State.
