- MF5G, Vol. 7, p. 102, seems to be one of the few sources that discusses Remembrance. Unfortunately, it is only snippet view on books.google.com, but enough can be manipulated to see that it says "He [Isaac Tinkham] m. (2) Plymouth 4 May 1752 REMEMBRANCE (Jackson) (JACKSON) (NASH) (WALKER) COOPER, dau. of Abraham and Remembrance (Morton) Jackson." No record of her birth can be found, but the marriages are in Plymouth VRs: to Joseph Jackson 20 Feb 1723/24, to Gyles Nash 3 Apr 1732 to John Walker 5 Nov 1736, to John Cooper published 17 Aug 1743, and finally to Isaac Tinkcom on 4 May 1752. It would seem that her birth would be about 1700, maybe 1695 at the outside. Given that Abraham Jackson and Remember Morton married in 1657, they seem highly unlikely to be her parents, having a child over 20 years after their last previous one? The will of Abraham Jackson, dated 16 Jan 1707[/08] names "my five children Abraham Jackson Nathaniell Jackson Eliezer Jackson John Jackson and Lydia Hall" but no Remembrance. It would seem their son Abraham and his wife Margaret Hicks, married in 1685, would be better candidates, but since there is no birth record, it could just as easily be one of the other sons. The list of married names of Remembrance that is given above is repeated in MD, p. 43:160, citing MF5G, but instead of endorsing the identification of her parents by repeating it, it merely says "See MF 7 for further details", as if it doesn't want to go that far?
