    Reginald “Reg” Barkley Laughner, 77, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his family and friends. Born on Feb. 28, 1945 in South Williamsport, Pa., he was the son of the late Raymond Laughner and Helen Stein Laughner Glover. Reg is survived by his daughter and daughter-in-law, Bronwyn “Bryn” Laughner and Kelly Vogel of Muncy, Pa., with whom he lived, and his son and daughter-in-law, Graham “Bo” and Joette Laughner of Montoursville, Pa.; grandchildren Alyssa (Berea, Ohio) and Gage Laughner (Howard, Pa.), Kylie Detato (Montoursville, Pa.), and Katie, James, Ray, Ryan, and Josh Vogel-Laughner (Muncy, Pa.). In addition, Reg is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Judi Laughner of Muncy, Pa., and his sister, Paula Laughner, of Montoursville, Pa.

    Reg was a 1963 graduate of Weston High School, Weston, Mass. Reg has lived with Bryn and Kelly for the past 4 months, but previously lived in Trout Run and Williamsport.

    Reggie may be best known locally for his deep love of coffee (Picasso’s Coffee) and his passionate pursuit of developing the best garden soil possible (Ironwood Acres Victory Garden Products). He was rarely seen without a cup of coffee, a warm smile, and his jester’s hat.

    A life celebration is being planned for the summer and will be announced. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests contributions to Lycoming County SPCA. A special thanks to his healthcare providers, especially Jenn Robb, Dr. Davar, and Dr. Karl Ahlswede and Courtney Kastner from Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice.

    Please honor Reggie by having a really good cup of coffee, planting a native plant, spending time in your garden, or simply sitting by a creek enjoying the supreme beauty and peace of nature.
