1891 - With parents, living in New Market. Beccles, aged 11 months. 1901 - With parents, living at the Draper's Shop in Newmarket Road, Beccles. Reginald BROOKS, aged 10, born at Beccles, Suffolk. 1914-18 - Second Lieutenant with 1st Suffolk Battery Royal Field Artillery; Major in Royal Field Artillery. (PRO WO 372/3 - yet to be consulted.) No service record survives in WO363 B258. 1952 - Lieutenant-Colonel (Brevet Colonel) R W BROOKS, of Womack House, Ellough Road, Beccles, listed as one of six people appointed deputy lieutenants of Suffolk.
