    Rebecca Stoner Garber and her husband, Martin Garber are buried here. However, the graves are unmarked, with the markers possibly decayed with the passage of time.

    Rebecca Stoner was born in Mistake in Friendship, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Her family eventually moved to Frederick County, MD. where she married Martin Garber. Her sister, Marian "Molly" Stoner married Samuel Garber, brother of Martin. In 1782,being recently married, both couples migrated to Flat Rock, Shenandoah County, Va. A few other couples accompanied them Other Stoner family members moved to the area. Several are buried in the old Stoner family cemetery, located off Route 881 northwest of Timberville, Rockingham County, Va.
    Rebecca Stoner and Martin Garber had at least four children: Elizabeth, Jacob, Catherine, and Rebekah.
