Mrs. Rebeca A. Bratton aged 83 years, died at 1 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Whitfield, at Dresden. Mrs. Bratton was a former resident of Sedalia and was a member of the East Sedalia Baptist church. She was the widow of the late John Bratton, whose death occurred several years ago.
She is survived by five daughters and a son,
- Mrs. Nannie Long, Sedalia;
- Mrs. Ida Mock, Dresden;
- Mrs. Alice Wilson and
- Mrs. Sadie Blatterman, Springfield, Mo.;
- Mrs. George Whitfield, Dresden and
- W.L. Bratton, of Hughesville.
Five sisters and a brother, eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive her. The funeral will be at the Gillespie Funeral Home in this city at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, the Rev. R.L. Davidson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, to officiate. Pall bearers will be six grandsons. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
