Reba M. Bauer, 81, of Towamensing Twp, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, April 28 at home after a battle with COPD. Reba considered her family her greatest accomplishment. In her lifetime, she also worked as a phlebotomist, enjoyed many years as an office assistant for Dr. Louis Sportelli in Palmerton, and eventually retired from St. Luke's Visiting Nurse Association. She was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville. Born in Schnecksville, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Ruth (Lauchnor) Schmoyer. Survivors: Daughters Kathryn of Palmerton, Ruth and husband Glenn Heil of Schwenksville, Montgomery Co.; son Tony and wife Jennifer of Walnutport; grandchildren Brandon Buck, Eric, Amy and Aaron Bauer. Services: Call 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, May 14 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave, Palmerton. Memorial service follows at 7:30 p.m.
