Real and Floyd were very close. Family members reported Real as being a very good student and kept hisself clean and dressed well. He died from a sledding accident near his sister's home, Irene (Renie) in Lander, Wyoming. He suffered head injury and a runner from the sled had punctured his side. He died three days later. His mother, Grandma Guinard, sit with him trying to make him as comfortable as she knew how, knowing he wasn't going to pull through.
