Raymond W Havens Nov. 23, 1912 -- Jan. 18, 2004 ------ Raymond W Havens, 91, of Limerick Rd, Clyde, died Sunday at Arbors of Clyd e. He was born in Jackson Twp to Harry and Lilly Virginia (Vandersall) Haven s. He graduated from Woodville High School in 1931 and served with the U .S Navy during World War II. He married Margaret Watt on Sept. 8, 1934 a nd she died May 5, 1999. Mr. Havens was employed as supervisor of quality control at Whirlpool Corp ., retiring Dec. 1, 1977 after 43 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, Clyde VFW and Eagles a nd the Whirlpool Management Club. Mr. Havens was an avid fisherman and gardener and enjoyed furniture makin g. Surviving are daughter Virginia Lee (John) Myhr of Allendale, N.J, two gra ndchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also preceded by sister Mab elle Webb. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyd Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Forest St, Clyde, w ith Rev. Gerhardt Gosnell officiating. Burial: McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with military services by the Clyde Ame rican Legion and VFW. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
