1946-07-11 - The Gettysburg Times - Gettysburg, PA R.L. CARBAUGH, BARBER, DIES Raymond L. Carbaugh, 54, Biglerville Barber, died suddenly at his home in Biglerville this morning at 1o'clock from a heart attack. He had been in his usual health Wednesday but became ill about midnight. A physician was summoned but he expired a short time later. The deceased was born in Adams county, a son of the late McMillan F. Carbaugh, and Mrs Flora Deardorff Carbaugh, who resided with him. Mr Carbaugh graduated from Gettysburg college in 1914 and had been a barber since 1916. He was a member of the Biglerville Reformed church. His wife, the former Bessie Chronister, died November 10, 1934. Surviving in addition to his mother is one daughter, Mrs. Victor Schlieder, Manchester, Vt., and one brother, the Rev. Lee O. Carbaugh, Harrisburg, Va. Funeral arrangements will be announced later."
