MONONGAHELA -Raymond Babiak, who was employed at Pittsburgh Flexicore, Monongahela, died Saturday at Mon Valley Hospital after an extended illness. He was 38. Mr. Babiak, who was born Sept. 18, 1945 in New Eagle, was the son of the late Frank and Helen Babiak. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of 420 Pike Alley, Monongahela; a daughter, Tracey, who lives at home; two brothers, Frank and Michael Babiak, both of Monongahela; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Nancy) Beitsinger of Coraopolis, and Mrs. Lee (Helen) Thomas of New Castle. Del. Mr. Babiak was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1409. He also belonged to the carroll Township American Legion Post 949 and was a member of the Slovak-American Citizens Club, Monongahela. Friends will be received at L.M. Frye Funeral Home, 427 W. Main, Monongahela, from 7-9 p.m. today, and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., in the L.M. Fry Chapel, with the Rev. Joseph Rial officiating. Burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
