    Funeral services for Ray Dunwell, 79, former Milton area resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton Junction, the Rev. Elmo F. Randolph, Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Milton Cemetery.
    Mr. Dunwell died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, in the Beecher Nursing Home, Janesville, where he had been a patient since December.
    Born April 16, 1886, in Orfordville, he was the son of Oliver and Nellie Gifford Dunwell, and moved to Milton at the age of eight. He married Belva McWilliams in Rockford Dec. 26, 1912 and they moved to Boy River, Minn. in 1921, residing there until 1962 when ill health caused his retirement from his trade of carpentering and farming. The couple moved to Evansville in 1962 to make their home with his wife's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Breitkreutz.
    Surviving are his wife of Evansville; a foster daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Emerson in Minnesota; two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Will, and a sister, Mrs. Myrtie Whitford.
