Apr.24, 1990. Eunice (Blackmer),b: Nov. 1913. Florence (Maxon), b: Feb. 25, 1916, d: Oct. 25, 1990. Daisy (Embrey), b: Apr. 6, 1918. Eugene W.E.B.(Willard -Ebenezer-Bailey), b: Mar. 6, 1922 . George, b: Feb. 25, 1924. Jay, b: July 6, 1930. Berdella (Root) b: Mar. 3,1933
Ray Darnell was born May 29, 1887 in a log house across
from Merrihews on Drew Rd. He was adopted by Zoa
(Losey) and Bailey Darnell, he was only 4 years old ( 2 wks. after his brother Jay was born.), in 1891. All of
Rays childen were born in a log house located 1/2 mile
South of Drew Rd. on what is known today as Queens way, except Jay, he was born at the farm on Broomfield
( just east of Flornce and Frank Maxon farm) known as the Hogg Farm. He had this farm from 1927 - 1932 when
the barn burned ( hay was put up too green). Ray
mortaged the farm to rebuild the barn but could not make a go of it. He was physically unable to farm all the rocks on that farm. Ray went back to the "Sand Farm"
at Weidman and built a house behind the log house on the basement walls of the shop.
Ray's sister Ina married Earl Gardner and the children of this union : Mary, Henreitta, Iva and Raymond. Ina
divorsed Earl and Married Dr. Drallete and lived in the house just across the Millpond on east side of Woodruff Rd. Ray's 1/2 sisters were: Onie Failing, Ruth
(losey, m. Hirem), Anne (Dutcher), Pennington (m. Steve),
Matilda Carr, (m. Charlie carr)
