- LYONS - Ray E. "Whitie" Baldwin, 90, died Feb. 1, 1986, at the Lyons District Hospital. Born Sept. 1, 1895, at Lyons, he married Sophia A. Lanterman Sept. 29, 1923, at Ellinwood. She died Aug. 4, 1966. He was a retired farmer and was a lifetime resident of Lyons.
He was a member of the American Legion, Lyons. Survivors: daughter, Treva Schmidt, Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Ruth Jilka, Lyons; two grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, the Rev. Will Jackson. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons.
