    It is possible that the lodger is Søren's aunt (the sister of his father), who was born in 1819, and thus would have been 47 in 1866.

    Note that the farm name (vestre Svindal) appears to be an error. The couple is identified as being of østre Svindal in the baptism records of their children born immediately before and after this census. The farm name østre Svindal does not appear in the transcribed records of this census, so it seems likely that the records from østre Svindal were unintentionally combined with the records from vestre Svindal and transcribed with the latter farm name.

    Note that this census was actually taken in 1866.
